Interleukin-2 has essential roles in promoting adaptive cellular immunity and tolerance, primarily via its direct effects on T cells. The major source of IL-2 is from activated CD4+ or activated CD8+ T cells. Interleukin-2 also stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of B cells, natural killer cells, monocytes, and macrophages.  In addition, IL-2 stimulates regulatory T cell development indicating a critical role in the prevention of autoimmunity. Taken together, IL-2 is a indispensable growth factor for immune system homeostasis.

Product Reconstitution:  Sterile 10 mM HCl at 0.1 mg/mL
Instructions:  Centrifuge vial before opening. Suspend the product by gently pipetting the above recommended solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX. Allow several minutes for complete reconstitution. For prolonged storage, dilute to working aliquots in a 0.1% BSA solution, store at -80°C and avoid repeat freeze thaws.
