Human TGF beta 1

Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1 (TGF-b1) is a widely used multifunctional cytokine that regulates immune function, cell differentiation, proliferation, migration, and fibrosis. TGF-b1 is often used in addition to recombinant IL-2 for production of Treg cells in cell culture.  Tested for biological activity in a HT-2 cell inhibition of growth assay.  Recombinant TGF-beta 1 is manufactured in the USA by protein manufacturer Shenandoah.

TGF-beta 1 Description

Catalog Number: 100-39

Alternate Names:  Differentiation inhibiting factor, cartilage-inducing factor               Accession Number: P01137
Description:  Transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-b1) is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily of cytokines. Members of this family exhibit regulatory activity in immunity, proliferation, adhesion, migration, and growth inhibition pathways. TGF-b1 signals through SMAD proteins via the TGF-bRI and TGF-bRII receptors.  TGF-b1 is often used in addition to recombinant IL-2 for production of Treg cells in cell culture.
Source:  Genetically modified CHO cells.
Predicted MW: Dimer, 12.8/25.6 kDa (112/224 aa)
AA Sequence:  ALDTNYCFSS TEKNCCVRQL YIDFRKDLGW KWIHEPKGYH ANFCLGPCPY IWSLDTQYSK VLALYNQHNP GASAAPCCVP QALEPLPIVY YVGRKPKVEQ LSNMIVRSCK CS
Formulation:  Lyophilized from a sterile (0.2 micron) filtered aqueous solution containing 0.1 % trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and Trehalose in a 20:1 Trehalose to protein ratio
