PAPS

PAPS (3’-phosphoadenosine 5’-phosphosulfate) plays a critical role in the sulfation of hydroxyls (D-ribose/galactose) and GlcNAc. The transfer of the sulfate group is important for epitope recognition, cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and differentiation. It also plays a key role in immune response, hormone half-life and osteoarthritis. Sulfated steroids have an important role as ligands to control gene expression with regards to inflammation, cancer and in infectious diseases.

It is easy to see that PAPS plays a multifaceted role in a wide range of human diseases. What has discouraged advances in understanding the biochemical mechanisms involved in the disease process related to sulfation-related issues has been the readily available and reasonably priced PAPS reagent.

We have developed a kit that is convenient, reproducible, accurate and user friendly! Our [35-S]-PAPS is of very high purity and includes easy to follow instructions. This kit will significantly advance drug discovery in the field of sulfation.
